Between New Mexico and Montana runs a corridor of rock we keep returning to. This part is not exhaustive and does not try to be: for each area we give the story, the logistics, and a hand-picked selection of the moderate routes — mostly 5.8 to 5.10 — that we would drive a day for, with pointers to the full local guidebooks that deserve your money.
